Thought for Monday, 7th Week of Ordinary Time

JAMES 3:13-18
Beloved:
Who among you is wise and understanding?
Let him show his works by a good life
in the humility that comes from wisdom.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts,
do not boast and be false to the truth.
Wisdom of this kind does not come down from above
but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist,
there is disorder and every foul practice.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure,
then peaceable, gentle, compliant,
full of mercy and good fruits,
without inconstancy or insincerity.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace
for those who cultivate peace.
=====================
After Pentecost Sunday we return to Ordinary Time. We begin to mark the time again until we reach the first Sunday of Advent on November 27. Thank you for your prayers this weekend. Our Kairos was definitely Spirit-filled. It was wonderful to see the Holy Spirit working in the lives of these teens!

Just a few questions to think about with this reading:
1) Am I full of jealousy or selfish ambition?
2) Or am I person that is pure, peaceable, gentle and compliant?
3) What are the fruits of my life?

Have a blessed Monday!
